Teaching Enabled Learning and Leading 2015 #TELL2015 #OntEdLeaders

Aug 17 & 18, 2015 is the (now?) annual conference from ADFO/OCPC/OPC on technology & leadership (TELL) at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott.  The conference is geared for administrators in all school boards in Ontario and focuses on technology use in schools, best practices and supports for student learning.

Best way to see what's been going on is through Twitter at #OntEdLeaders, #OntEdLeadeersSB (Simon Breakspear) and #OntEdLeadersAC (Alec Couros)

If you consider the role of technology in the world, we should remember a few key points:
1.  Ideas inherent in technology are more important than the technology itself
2. Imagination is at the core of learning and creativit
3. We should choose technology informed by pedagogy
4. Our networks are important - it is one of the most important literacies in the 21st century; we are interconnected individuals and "If you decline to create or to curate a culture in your [online] spaces, you're responsible for what spawns in the vacuum" (Alexander, 2014)
5. The developed world is in the midst of a paradigm shift both in the ways in which people and institutions are connected.  It is a shift from being individuals to networked individualism.
6. We need to be in the sweet spot combined by Technology, Humanity, and Pedgaogy
