Day 3

2nd day in Bluefields, 3rd day on the trip.  wake up for 7:30 breakfast.  We leave for church at 9am.
Good news - Kat is feeling better.  Thank you for your prayers.
We head to church where we have an enthusiastic time of worship and hearing God's word.  Steve did a good job all in Spanish - kudos go to Erika for helping with sermon prep in Spanish.

Sunday worship consists of Celebrate Jesus, Mighty to Save, Breathe, and We fall down.  A combination of English and Spanish.  It is wonderful to hear God's people in multiple languages worshipping together.  Also hearing the exact same music yet in Spanish reminds us that God's word is universal and no matter what language it is in, the salvation of Jesus is for everyone.
The service also had a child dedication.  You can see the love Pastor Ed has for his people and especially for kids.

A good reminder from Psalm 73.  We need to come to worship together.  God has a word for you, but you can't hear it unless you go.  Even when we don't feel like it we need to go.
Prayer of dedication for Paul & Steve before they leave Bluefields
Following the service we had lunch with the congregation. A great time just meeting people and playing with the kids.
They called Vern up to talk about what we are doing this week.
As in Pastor Ed's words "Preach it brother!"  (yes he said that in the middle of your sermon, Steve)
After the message these two came up to accept Christ.  Hallelujah!

It's a relatively quiet day now... I've made it through most of the computers getting Windows XP and Office installed along with all necessary drivers. One computer however isn't playing nicely with me. It may become spare parts for the future... (i hope it hears this and gets going with the program!)
Pastor Steve & Paul have left for home.  Prayers for safe travels.  By now they should be in Managua.
Pastor Jeremy is now working at the Pastoral leadership training.  Half our team is there, half is here.
All for now.  Thank you for your prayers and for checking this blog.  Feel free to email me if you have questions for any of us!

Photos from lunch time below.
Father and son - the boy Jose took my hands and wanted me to spin him around, and around, and around...
